Therapeutic yoga at the group practice ayurHealth
In my yoga therapeutic practice at the ayurHealth group practice in the Kramgasse in Bern, I offer therapeutic yoga in German and English. Therapeutic yoga has proven itself to be a complement to conventional medical treatments, to support healing processes and to improve the quality of life and physical well-being in a variety of complaints and diseases of the body or mind.
For example, individually tailored yoga therapy can help you with chronic pain, including lower back pain, arthritis, premenstrual syndrome (PMS) or other types of pain such as fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue syndrome. It can also positively influence your mental health (for example, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder or insomnia) and can be used to help neurological problems or complications due to strokes, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease or traumatic brain injury. Yoga therapy also offers valuable support for diseases such as cancer, diabetes or heart disease.
The yoga-therapeutic view always considers the person as a whole, not solely as a specific complaint or illness. An individual yoga therapy usually includes several consultations. The period of these meetings is arranged according to your personal wishes and circumstances.
I offer the initial consultation for the assessment free of charge, as good cooperation between client and therapist is imperative for a successful yoga-therapeutic journey and I want to make sure that this assessment can take place without any feelings of obligation. Thereafter, the actual yoga-therapeutic consultations commence. These can look very different depending on the individual constitution and personal goals. You, as the client, decide what you want to practise, when and for how long. This also applies to your yoga practice at home. Your well-being is always at the centre.
